Seems to be an increase in the number of owner drivers (PH) going bust, reported in the local press. Also, the amount of snatchbacks by finance companies are notable. Are the costs of owner drivers on the PH side being depressed by oversupply, and the relative ease with which vehicle finance is available? To be even handed, a Hack owner driver dissapeared off the radar this week too, cab "handed back" (he says) to finance company, plate passed on, (guess how much for) gone over to the enemy, with a one grand wreck. He won't last there, either.

Discuss.
