Uber crashes into railings outside pub
An Uber crashed into railings outside a pub.
Emergency services were called to St Oswalds Street in Old Swan at around 9pm on Sunday to reports of a crash. Police confirmed a Ford Focus private hire taxi crashed into railings outside The Old Swan pub.
Pictures taken by an eyewitness showed two police cars at the scene. A grey vehicle can be seen outside the entrance to the pub with damage to the railings.
Photographs taken this morning of the scene showed barriers in place and a street light damaged on the floor. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed there are no reports of any injuries.
Liverpool city council has been made aware of the damage to the railings and a traffic light.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We received a report at 9pm last night (Sunday) that a Ford Focus private hire taxi had been in collision with railings outside The Old Swan pub on St Oswalds Street.
