Parallels with another Merseyside incident - the driver who transported the headbanger with the bomb to the Women's Hospital in Liverpool a couple of years ago  Of course, there the parallel ends - no obvious immediate threat to the driver in Southport earlier this week, while the threat to the hospital driver was obvious, and he survived by the skin of his teeth (injured but not life-threatening). In terms of victims, the obverse is the case - there were no real victims of the Liverpool hospital attack (the perp died in the incident) while this week...  The 2021 perp was a failed asylum seeker, I think, while this week's perp's exact status, is, er, unknown  It was never clear what precisely the 2021 perp's intended targets were, but the bomb was detonated at the Liverpool Women's Hospital.
