Is it me or do these types of cases appear more frequently in the land of sheep and crooners

A Llanelli taxi driver is facing legal proceedings after allegedly operating a private hire vehicle without the necessary licence and insurance. Bernard Price, 58, of 10 Cwrt Pandora, Parc Y Doc Gogledd, is accused of using his black Mercedes, registration CA68 YSJ, unlawfully on 16th January 2024 in Llanelli.

Mr Price, who did not appear in court on Friday, 6th September 2024, has been charged with two separate offences. The first charge relates to his alleged failure to possess a valid licence for operating a private hire vehicle in Llanelli, contrary to the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. The second charge alleges that he operated the vehicle without a valid insurance policy, a breach of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Mr Price has entered a plea of not guilty to both charges during a previous court appearance on 9th August 2024. The case has been adjourned until 4th October 2024 for a case management hearing at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

The charges were brought by Carmarthenshire County Council, which is overseeing the proceedings. Should Mr Price be found guilty, the consequences could include fines, licence suspension, and other penalties as prescribed by the law.

The case remains ongoing, with Mr Price required to attend the next court date in October.

I think in the more rural areas it's easier to detect.
