A Glasgow taxi firm has been firebombed amidst an ongoing gang war in Scotland.

Deuce Private Hire in Stepps was torched just before 2am on Thursday morning.

The Record understands the unit is the latest business targeted over alleged connections to the notorious Daniel clan and Edinburgh crime boss Mark Richardson.

Police say they are treating the incident as wilful.

Detectives were seen outside the burnt out cab firm. The unit has been cordoned off as an investigation continues.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Pictures from the scene show numerous officers standing guard as police tape is placed around the unit. The main window on the front of the office has been boarded up.

Another image shows CID officers examining the scene with one officer pictured standing at the front door wearing blue forensic gloves. A Scottish Fire and Rescue vehicle is also parked round the side of the building.

It is the latest in a series of incidents across the country that are being probed amid a gangland turf war.

The ongoing feud started in Edinburgh after a "Mr Big" gangster based in Dubai had a stash of cocaine stolen by cronies of crime kingpin Mark Richardson.

The turf war then spread to Glasgow - with the notorious Daniel crime clan becoming prime targets due to their connections with the Richardson's mob.

Mr Big's enforcers, a faceless group by the name of Tamo Junto, have called out their key targets in a series of videos of recent weeks.

Bonzo was named high on their hit list days before his home in Bishopbriggs was set on fire last month. His uncle Norman's home nearby went up in flames at the exact same time.

Days later, a house registered to Bonzo's mum Annette was also attacked in the town as the violence continued to escalate.

The blaze at Deuce Private Hire comes after we reported that Mark Richardson's brother Dale's home was targeted earlier this week.

A window at the 35-year-old's property in Edinburgh was damaged and later covered with tarpaulin on Tuesday morning.

Two taxis were also torched in the city as cops launched probes into both incidents.

Two vehicles were firebombed at a car park on Gorgie leased by cab company MH Executive Limited.

Pictures show a white Toyota Corolla covered in scorch marks. A silver Seat Toledo was also photographed with what appears to be damage to the rear windscreen.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a fire at a business premises in Cumbernauld Road, Stepps, around 1.50am on Thursday, 8 May, 2025. Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished. There were no reports of any injuries. The incident is being treated as a wilful fire raising and enquiries are ongoing.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.49am on Thursday, 8 May to reports of a fire at a commercial premises near Chryston, North Lanarkshire.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the town's Cumbernauld Road, where firefighters extinguished a fire involving external signage.

"Crews thereafter left the scene. There were no casualties."
