Big article in today’s daily telegraph on Uber style apps and the huge cost of ev’s killing the black cab trade. Yet to read it.

The black cab trade will be around in London long after all of us on TDO are gone. London is a very busy place, a world center for finance, hospitality, and entertainment. There will never be too few punters requiring the services of an immediate hire taxi service there. Of course, having to do an intensive, some say mad, knowledge test, and having to buy the most expensive cab in the world doesn't help, but for those who do persevere with the London taxi trade, the rewards will always be there.
