Wasn't going to bother with this, but despite the predictable comments on the Malvern Gazette's website, they haven't changed this photo they've used

The official West Mercia police photo is in the news release below :-o

Do you know this man?

https://www.westmercia.police.uk/news/w ... -this-man/

We would like to speak to this man as we believe he can help with our enquiries into criminal damage caused in Worcester.

On Saturday 12 April around 10pm a taxi was parked on St Swithin’s Street when a man smashed the windscreen with a pair of women’s shoes.

Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured as it is thought he was in the area at the time and may be able to help with enquiries.

If you know who this man is or have information that would help identify him, please contact Police Constable Melanie Davies by emailing melanie.davies@westmercia.police.uk

Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting crimestoppers-uk.org

I mean, it's the same photo in terms of detail and clarity, only severely cropped.

But maybe a good idea to show the whole image in terms of, er, contextualising the head with body, etc? [-(

Can't believe this

There's another photo been released, and another press article. And the press article says:

Worcester News wrote:
A previous image was published on West Mercia Police's social media channels, with many pointing out that it was too low quality to identify the man pictured.

And yet once again they've cropped the photo, which surely doesn't help with IDing ](*,)

The photo cropped by the press is below, while the image below that is the one actually released by West Mercia Police...

Even assuming a close-up of the face helps a bit, they could at least have published the cropped close-up and the full length image

And not sure why the West Mercia police original images needs that huge white border either - at least the press have managed to crop that out

The first picture looks like it was painted by Pablo Picaso.

Thankfully the later picture might actually get him named.

it's probably been taken on a camera phone or at least recorded in that format
