All those people who lambasted the 2003 OFT Taxi report will no doubt be giving them a pat on the back if they succeed in lowering bank charges.

Abstract


The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is considering an investigation in current account overdraft charges following complaints that many of the penalties are imposed illegally. The investigation would follow the OFT's inquiry into credit card default charges, the outcome of which will be announced soon.
