Wonder what this pair were getting so het up about? Presumably it wasn't an official rank, so maybe just a PHV waiting for his next hire.

Looks like that's the rear screen in the photo, and he's got a rear-mounted camera there. Maybe like the Nextbase one I had, which is mounted on the rear window, and doesn't record the car's interior, but has a huge field of view out the back window :-o

Police want to speak to this man after a taxi driver was threatened and his vehicle damaged.

The victim was waiting for his next fare in Crocus Street, The Meadows, Nottingham, around 8.15pm on 26 April 2025 when he was asked by a woman to move on.

A short time later a man also came out of a property and banged a wine bottle against the window of the taxi.

The man also tried to open doors on the vehicle and damaged the registration plate.

Officers have been carrying out inquiries and are now in a position to release this image of someone they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

Police Constable Sophie Anderson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The victim was simply doing his job when he was threatened and his taxi damaged.

“He has been left feeling anxious as a result and we want to trace whoever was responsible.

“We believe the individual pictured could have important information and wish to take his account of the incident.”

Anyone who knows the man, or has any other relevant information, should call police on 101, quoting incident number 25000252572.

Sure it wasn't Liverpool? :-o 8-[

Decided not to post any more in *that* thread a couple of weeks ago :-|

But that above brings to mind some of the stuff that might have led to what happened in Liverpool. I mean, in the vids there were people smashing the rear window etc before the worst of it kicked off. And then pulling the number plates off - I mean, what was the point of that, other than wanton aggression and damage?

Then, of course, there were the conspiracy theories, such as that it was government false flag agents pulling off the number plates to avoid identification, and that there were other number plates underneath

Can't be bothered looking back for the vids now, but the vid I saw showed that only part of the number plate came off, because of the fixing screws. So it wasn't another number plate underneath, and it was just the three quarters or so of the plate that remained once part of it had been pulled off

Just for reference Stuart the meadows area of Nottingham is the drugs capital of the east midlands if not the UK so i suspect maybe a drugs dealer concerned that a rival gand might be on his patch ?

In fact there was a time a few years ago when the murder rate was higher than many US cities

I was guessing less about drugs and more about the driver just getting in the way and maybe causing some kind of noise or other disturbance. And things just getting out of hand over nothing. But I'd guess the driver was completely innocent, or police wouldn't have become involved. But maybe a drugs angle as regards the perp, Edders.
