Good illustration of why people don't bother phoning the police unless it's something serious. And you'd think this is quite serious, but maybe not...

Wouldn't be surprised if there's some follow up to this, but can't see anything :?

Children were left terrified after a brick was hurled at their taxi and smashed the window.

Some of the youngsters were left covered in shards of glass as it returned from the school run yesterday (Monday).

The vehicle had been travelling towards Staplehurst, near the Stile Bridge pub in Marden, when one of the back windows was smashed.

Marissa McGowan’s 13-year-old son was in the taxi when the brick hit.

She said: “They were on route from school when it hit.

“The taxi attendant rang to say a brick had been thrown at the window and could I collect my son. He had bits of glass all over him. He was sat in the seat next to the window that shattered.

“He was a bit traumatised and confused by it all.”

Kent Police said it had no reports of the incident on its system.

Ms McGowan said the police were called, but parents and the driver were advised to ring 101 so no report was made.
