The photo below seems to have been pulled from the Dorset Police and Bournemouth Echo websites...

...that's because police have issued another press release saying that a 'woman has come forward' :-o

Hardly surprising if she's from the local area - can hardly fail to be identified from the photo :P

This is still on the Yahoo News website, which just lifts articles from local news sites.

Taxi driver allegedly assaulted and racially abused near town centre

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/taxi-driver-a ... 16278.html

A TAXI driver was allegedly assaulted and racially abused by two women near Bournemouth town centre.

At around 11.05pm on Sunday, August 24 it was reported that two women were travelling in a taxi in the area of Exeter Road when they became racially abusive towards the driver.

It is further alleged that the women assaulted the driver by grabbing, scratching and hitting him as he drove and caused damage to his taxi.

Dorset Police has issued an image of two women they would like to identify as they investigate the incident.

Police constable Jennifer Marjason, of Bournemouth Police, said: “We take all reports of hate crime very seriously and have been exploring all lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.

“We are now in a position to release an image of two women we are looking to identify as part of our investigation and I would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250126579. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.

This is the official police update. And, with regard to another recent thread, note that's it's a woman who's come forward, rather than the women in the original appeal and photo :-o

No arrests, though.
