This is the official police press release, but as as typical of this kind of thing you need to read down a couple of lines before you realise it's about a taxi driver, while the local press rehash leaves you in no doubt with its headline (post below).

APPEAL | Assault, Plymouth

https://news.devon-cornwall.police.uk/n ... 45bdd24049

We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a road rage assault in Plymouth.

The incident took place outside High Street Primary School, Stonehouse, on Tuesday 24 June at around 3.20pm.

It was reported that a taxi driver was punched in the face, verbally abused and pulled from his taxi and thrown into the middle of the road.

The victim suffered a facial bleeding as a result.

A man, in his 20s and from Plymouth, was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been released on police bail.

Officers have investigated the incident since it was first reported and are now appealing to anyone who witnessed it, or who has relevant footage, who has not yet spoken to police, to get in touch via 101 or our website quoting 50250161102.

Not just a press rehash, but one of those where you end up effectively reading the whole thing twice, because they just rehash the press release above, then repeat it verbatim :-o

In fact, you're reading it two-and-a-half times including the headline etc

And if anyone actually reads everything in this thread, then they'll have read it all nearly four times :D

Location: Stamford Britains prettiest town till SKDC ruined it
sounds like a case of the victim got the number plate but the driver is denying everything so they need evidence to prove the car and driver were at the scene
