Not sure if the photo here is real or not - I'd guess the number plate is just photoshopped on, but as for the rest of the image...

Anyway, more than a hint of PR and advertorial here. In fact we had a very similar PR schtick 'yellow taxi' bringing New York 'pizzaz' startup around St Andrews at about the back end of lockdown.

And the way that developed into the wider taxi stuff confirmed the element of marketing and spin etc. With 'spin' indeed being a very apposite word in relation to it all. But that's a sort of pun and wee joke that would take far too long to explain, and would bore the average reader on here to death

Fife’s first fully licensed Tesla taxi is now on the roads – and it will be difficult to miss.

The bright yellow electric vehicle was introduced by Kirkcaldy Cabs to its fleet this week.

The move comes as the company, based on Kirkcaldy High Street, looks to become greener, and more eco friendly.

And with its bright colour, the Tesla Model Y is certainly drawing attention on the town’s streets.

Mark Anderson, of Kirkcaldy Cabs, said: “Our Tesla taxi is the first fully licensed Tesla taxi in Fife, marking a step forward for cleaner, quieter transport in the area.

"The vehicle has already attracted a lot of attention locally, with many customers commenting that it brings a ‘little bit of New York Cab style to Kirkcaldy’, which has been a great talking point.”

The taxi is now in operation across Fife and further afield and is being used for both every day journeys as well as longer distance trips, such as airport transfers.

The company say the Tesla offers customers a greener, quieter and luxury drive to their destination.

Mark added: “We’re proud to be offering an eco-friendly option while adding something a bit different to the local taxi scene."

How to p*** up your money. #-o

Be interested to see how such a vehicle can be double-shifted, which is surely required to justify the vehicle cost.
