And never too keen on members of the trade like this encouraging passengers to check badges and plates etc if they want to complain to the council.
In my experience the only ones likely to pay attention to that are the selfsame dafties who won't pay attention to his pleas for 'respect'

The boss of a taxi firm is calling on passengers to be respectful to drivers this Christmas after a 20 minute stand off with a customer.
Patrick Crew, managing director of Sudbury Cars, had to alert police after a man refused to leave his taxi.
It unfolded after Mr Crew was asked to extend the journey further than originally planned, which he declined to do due to being fully booked.
The passenger "eventually got the message", despite being asked by the police over the phone to exit the vehicle.
But while Mr Crew says drivers will not "tolerate abusive and aggressive behaviour", he wants to keep everyone safe this Christmas.

"We would like to ask the public, on behalf of all taxi firms in Sudbury, Babergh and beyond that taxi and private hire drivers are treated fairly and with due respect from the fares they carry as passengers over the festive period.
"A recent incident with one of our drivers resulted in the police being called because of passenger behaviour.
"We cannot stress enough that drivers are there to get you to your booked destination safely and should not have to tolerate abusive and aggressive behaviour from passengers."
He adds that hackney carriage and private hire businesses are "no different" when it comes to tolerating abuse.
And heading into the busiest time of the year, Mr Crew has offered advice to passengers on how to keep safe if they don't feel comfortable in a vehicle.
"You have every right to ask for their taxi and private hire personal licence issued to them by their licensing authority," he continued.
"This identification, along with the car number from the vehicle licensing plate issued by the relevant licensing authority on the back of the car, can be used as the starting point to submit a complaint to that licensing authority.
"All passengers in taxis and private hire vehicles have recourse to contact the licensing authority under which both the car and the driver are licensed if they are not happy with the drivers credentials or their driving standards."
