As regulars on here will know, I'm normally very cynical about stuff like this. But since I know absolutely nothing about this scheme and what it entails, I'm saying nothing

A Fife taxi firm has gained a five star rating in the Eco Stars fleet recognition scheme.

The award underscores St Andrews Taxis’ commitment to operational excellence, environmental sustainability, and reducing its carbon footprint.

The scheme is designed to promote and guide operators of HGVs, buses, coaches, vans, and taxis towards efficient and eco-friendly practices. It awarded St Andrews Taxis the highest possible rating for its operational and environmental performance.

Not really my place to promote businesses that I've nothing to do with, but this firm is currently hiring if anyone in the NE Fife area is looking for a drive.

A load of old Tosh, just average cars of an average taxi age driven by average drivers.....hardly Greta Thunberg gold award of the year winners.

If a driver works 10 hours, then that's a guarantee of minimum wage less 40%.

I'm guessing starvation wages pays no part in their five-star rating.

Anyway, the results of November's spotchecks are in.

So 72 cars checked over the whole of Fife (over three nights). 15 plates removed

And there's only one out of the 72 checked which is marked with this as one of the failure items. I wonder whose car that might have been?
