Went over it all with a fine tooth comb in another thread, Roy

(Almost typed the phrase 'done to death in another thread', but probably not the best choice of words in view of the circumstances :-| ).

Anyway, wasn't going to bother posting this, but since the incident has been bumped on here again...

But pretty sure the nearest house on the left below is the one where the security camera footage of the point of impact was taken from - the collision would have occurred directly opposite the driveway, close to that silver Vauxhall closest to the shot:

As a reminder this is the security camera footage showing the collision and its aftermath (or at least most of the point of impact):

(Don't think police too keen on that stuff being shared online. But that tweet alone has been viewed almost half a million times.

And a lot of the national newspaper titles like the Sun and Daily Mail have shown the footage right up to the point of impact. So a couple of dozen people on here viewing the whole thing isn't going to make a whole lot of difference :? )

Thanks, I didn't realise, I thought it happened this week. Delayed reporting from LBC! They're not usually that behind with the news.

To be fair to LBC, the article is timestamped late on Sunday, while many news outlets were covering the incident earlier on the Sunday, and the incident itself happened in the early hours of that Sunday :-o

So it wasn't really that long ago. But already seemed like that on Tuesday morning.

But, if anyone else on here is like me, then the timing of a lot of news stuff like this is a bit more confusing than it was back in the day.

So I often read stuff online early in the morning, then later that day read the same stuff and think it's a couple of days out of date, only to realise that the news actually broke earlier the same day (and made worse by the fact that I'm often sleeping during the day between the early morning and late-night news).

Then the same stuff appears in the printed press next day, and you think it happened days previously, but it was actually just yesterday #-o

24-hour news cycle/rolling news media, or something like that.
