I just want the boys in dundee with wavs to be very aware of a problem i had at the weekend. I put my ramp down started to wheel him up in his wheelchair thought i was doing great until i let go and he shot back down the ramp thank god he stopped himself before he hit the road or i would have to live with what i had done i didn't secure the poor sucker with the harness. I don't want to leave my name as i would never live it down as i am so embarresed the man in the wheelchair says its ok mate it could happen to anyone so i urge you all to be more careful than i was....whoops....

What harness?.
Electric or manual chair?.
What type of vehicle?.
Did you receive any training,if not ask the lads that have been in the trade for years, they are not ogres, they will help, especially to make sure this does not happen.

Happy motoring,ELLGO.

You people are taking the P**S out of me i am only telling you because i don't want it happening to someone else thats all...By the way i have 2 seats in the middle of my eurobus can anyone tell me if it's true you can order one seat instead so you don't have to remove the two seats...

I'm in parternership with my mate we go halves on everything so i don't want my mate getting a bad name because i slipped up that wouldn't be fair.

Perhaps if you are not OK working with wheel-chairs, it may be an idea to try for an exemption certificate from your council.

If you are new,you will go through a accessible awareness course, but this does not take into the wheelchair safety programme.

There is no such thing in Dundee, but you shuld have a word with the exsisting lads that have been doing the wheelchair conveying over the last few years.

There is NO WAY you shall get an excemption, the only thing you will get is your license revoked.Don,t even think about approaching the council,go with my suggestion, and keep your head down.
You should have least received a vidoe from Cab Direct.

Good luck,

GUNGADIN

I think if he can give a doctors letter saying that he is unable to load and un-load WAVs, then the law allows him such exemption.

Oh Dear,
Just a thought, when you were window cleaning did you have STOP written on the top rung?
