Aggressive and violent woman maybe demonstrates why women won't drive taxis, particularly late at night.

But, of course, it's just those awful male drivers who are a menace

Unfortunately zero detail about why it all kicked off...

(This piece is a couple of weeks old now.)

Woman attacked taxi driver who'd just driven her to Rosyth

https://www.dunfermlinepress.com/news/2 ... en-rosyth/

Deborah Stevenson, also known as Gallagher, 43, of Dundonald Road, Rosyth, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

She admitted that on March 23 last year in a taxi journey between Canmore Street, Dunfermline and Rosyth, she acted aggressively, shouted, swore, made derogatory remarks and threats of violence towards the driver.

She also admitted she assaulted the driver by repeatedly punching him on the head and seized him on the body, to his injury.

Sheriff Susan Duff called for reports and Gallagher will be sentenced on April 22.

This is the piece from around a year ago about the original investigation, which is where the driver's age is stated.

Also happened in the early hours of Sunday - who'd have expected that? :-o

Dunfermline: Police investigate assault on taxi driver

https://www.dunfermlinepress.com/news/2 ... xi-driver/

Police are investigating an assault on a taxi driver near Dunfermline.

The incident took place at the end of March during a journey from Dunfermline to Rosyth.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.45am on Sunday, March 23, we received a report of an assault on a taxi driver while travelling between Dunfermline and Rosyth.

“The 65-year-old man did not require hospital treatment.

"Extensive enquiries were carried out and a positive line of enquiry is being followed."

I suspect it kicked off because the woman was rat-faced and couldn't control herself. Maybe the driver realised too late and couldn't get rid of her.

Absolute nightmare and a perfect example of why many areas struggle covering night work.
