Not much to see here, but for a change it's the office staff in the line of fire. Wonder what happened - I'd guess no cars available, or service refusal =;

Or maybe told no cars available, not because there weren't, but as a way around telling him he wasn't wanted as a customer. Or money up front thing? :?

Anyway, another example of a 'taxi' office described as a *rank* in the headline. Which I thought was more of a north of England thing. But Hemel Hempstead is just north of Watford :-o

A staff member was injured after a man threw a "computer and banner" at them during an alleged attack at Hemel station.

Officers are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault that took place at the railway station on Monday, March 30, around 7pm.

The incident occurred at the taxi office operated by Kings Ace Cars. A staff member was thought to have been hit when a man threw computer equipment and a banner following a taxi enquiry.

Officers are keen to trace the man pictured, as they believe he was in the area at the time and may have information that will help their investigation.

If you recognise this man, witnessed the incident, or have captured footage on a mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV operating in the area at the time, please contact us.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Katie Darcy via email: Katie.Darcy@herts.police.uk

You can also report information online, speak to an operator via online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number 41/29353/26.

Alternatively, stay anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via an untraceable online form.

I wonder if offices open to the public have a future.

Times are a-changing, as Bob Dylan once sang.
