Quite a lot going on here for a short piece :-o

And, despite the obvious minor error in the narrative, in the round I don't really understand it all.

I suspect a bit more detail is required to make it all make sense.

Or maybe there's more to come...

Taxi fare dodger jailed for 2 months after 'bilking' Chorley cabbie on release from prison

It’s not the first time he’s had a run-in with local cabbies...

A man was jailed for two months after making off without paying a taxi driver in Chorley.

Fare dodger Leroy Teasdale, 25, pleaded guilty to the charge of making off without making payment when he appeared before Preston Magistrates on April 14.

The court also ordered Teasdale to pay the taxi driver £100 compensation, to be paid in instalments.

Taxi terror

Teasdale, who has links to the Bamber Bridge, Leyland and Chorley areas, has had previous run-ins with local taxi drivers.

In February, Lancashire Police shared a public appeal to help apprehend the 25-year-old, who was wanted for robbing a taxi driver at knifepoint.

The cabbie reported that Teasdale had picked up a fare using the name ‘Jamie’, in Birchfield, Clayton-le-Woods, at around 10.15am on February 18.

During the journey, Teasdale allegedly produced a knife and threatened the driver, taking his mobile phone and stealing £250 from his account using a banking app.

He then fled the taxi at the junction of Garstang Road and Jepps Lane in Barton.

Teasdale was later located and arrested on suspicion of kidnap, robbery, theft, assault, harassment and on recall to prison.
