That's certainly grim news from Brighton about the deaths on the beach
Students' night in the club, apparently, then a paddle in the sea...
Reminds me of an incident a few years ago when a male medic student in St Andrews went missing one night, and it was suspected that he was in the sea. His body was found weeks later.
Would be good to know the amount of hours expended searching for his body by police and the other authorities. I'd guess hundreds of hours, if not thousands. But - and don't want to sound too po-faced - if they spent a bit more time actually doing day-to-day policing and NOT encouraging it all by extending the licensing hours, then that kind of incident might not happen in the first place.
But the St Andrews student was heading for the Union on Wednesday night, which is the biggest night there for getting blootered. But he didn't even make it there. And apparently was victim of some kind of 'hazing' incident. Although, obviously, that wasn't stated publicly. Because it wouldn't fit the official narrative.
Anyway, the Brighton news stuff is everywhere if anyone hasn't seen it. But this one example is from the London Evening Standard:
Brighton beach horror: Three women killed were 'relatives from London who misjudged steep drop'https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/brig ... 82352.htmlSussex Police have said officers believe they have identified all three women and their next of kin have been informed
