This is a pretty straight bat press rehash of a public notice, which is linked to at the bottom.
First obvious thing is that while the flagfall is going up 20%, it's pitifully low at present - it's going up from £2.50 to £3.00
But, perhaps unsurprisingly, there's no real flagfall distance in the sense that most of us are familiar with, and the meter starts cranking up almost immediately...
The soiling charge has certainly been hiked quite a lot, but it's only £50 now, and going up to £100.
Of course, to a large extent that's usually academic anyway, and won't happen very often, at least for day drivers.
More interesting maybe is the doubling of waiting time.
Which is something I don't really pay much attention to most of the time.
But it's currently just £6 per hour, and it's going up to £12??

The same rise applies to night-time and bank holiday tariffs, with the £3 minimum fare now covering distances up to 88 yards.
Christmas and New Year will see a more substantial 50% increase, with the minimum fare rising to £4.50.
A new tariff is also being introduced for journeys involving five or more passengers, with a starting fare of £4.
Waiting time charges have doubled, with each completed 60 seconds now costing 20p.
The charge for soiling a taxi has also doubled to £100.
The council has announced these changes under Section 65 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

Objections must be submitted within 14 days from the publication of the notice.
Meters will adjust to reflect these changes automatically.
