To be fair, I don't think that's the most ridiculous change to the soiling charge that he's come up over the past few years

To be fair, at least the fuel surcharge thing is relatively straightforward, easy to understand, and not so open to confusion.
But, of course, because it's a fixed sum per hire it's quite a lot on a short run, but not much on a longer trip
