Im starting hopefully 1st november 90% of companies are ph and there prices are cheaper than meter prices also asking around the local punters dont like the meters on . On local runs would you advise using a price list instead of meter

The reason they don't like the meter on is because it runs on both time and distance.

If you can run your meter on distance only, for those journesy you feel are appropriate then that might be the wisest option.

Most meter's have a "stopped" facility, enabling you to run on distance only, Dont, Repeat DONT rob yourself.
Knocking off the 10-20p's, not charging for waiting etc.
You could fill your tank with the odd bit's you dont charge for!
Good Luck.

You could always print up some loyalty/discount cards.

That way you can use your meter yet still keep the radio work. And if a non local gets in your cab you can charge the full rate.

I think a meter is the faiest way of doing it.
It stops the arguements about waiting time/stopping at shops/extra pick ups etc etc.
