Yet another attack on a HC/PH driver.

I hope all these incidents highlighted on TDO are not going amiss with those who represent our trade because quite frankly I haven't seen a great deal happening in this sphere over recent years.

HEADLINE: Injured Kirkby taxi man vows to carry on

A KIRKBY taxi driver who was horrifically stabbed in the stomach after picking up two youths has vowed to return to work as soon as possible.

Frank James (49), who works for Arnold's 200 cars taxi firm, was attacked as he collected two passengers from Morrell Drive in Top Valley, Nottingham on Saturday afternoon.

Mr James, who was released from hospital today (Thursday), also suffered cuts to his hands as he tried to defend himself during the terrifying ordeal.

Police are appealing for information on the attackers, who are described as black and stocky, and are urging witnesses to call Nottingham 8444906.
