I know the person that runs this taxibus service, he is a member of our association. The scheme has definitely been successful for him, but that is because of the subsidy payments he has received from Nexus. Sussex wrote: No demand for taxis there, but bundles for PH and buses.
What does that say about the local cab trade? I would say firstly that you have no idea what is planned by the taxi trade in Gateshead ................ but if you keep watching that same paper you will find out ................ as soon as we sort out some legal issues. Secondly I would say that in order to properly criticise you should remind yourself of the function of taxis within an integrated public transport system. B. Lucky

What is the function and role of "Taxis" in an integrated Transport system? Which licensing authority can you cite as an example of having an integrated transport system which utilises the services of Taxis? JD |
