A letter of complaint against the cab service at Aberdeen Airport.

HEADLINE: Shambles of taxis at city's airport

When is someone going to break up the cosy monopoly of airport taxis at Aberdeen Airport?

On Monday night, after the Amsterdam flight, I waited for three-quarters of an hour for a taxi. I was one of the lucky ones. Some of the travellers behind me in the queue would have to wait much longer. This has happened several times.

I have travelled to many parts of the world and rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a local airport taxi.

I find it embarrassing to have to apologise to visitors, shivering in a plastic tunnel, for this shambles.
