I think we all know by now that we cannot refuse guide dogs !!! Folks on here might know, other well informed drivers elsewhere might know, but bundles of other drivers don't.

Im sorry, but its been in the press and on tv enough for every driver who gives two hoots about his proffesion to know about it. Far to many drivers just get in their car and drive, without taking enough pride in their work to find out about these things. Might be harsh, but i've no sympathy, although to lose his licence rather than just fine him is a bit ott. |

As I said on another similar thread - I'm allergic to dogs and do have an excemtion certificate! Unfortunately these don't talk!!!!! And people do take offence when I try to explain so I normally take them and sneeze through the journey resulting in the usual "have you got a cold?" "no - I'm allergic to dog fur" scenario to which the normal answer is "why didn't you say something then?" DOH!!!! Two in one day and I'm off the road for a couple of days waiting for the swelling in my face to die down and trying to open my eyes which swell the worst. I know that there are people out there that just don't want to carry animals but please remember that there are some of us that would love to but it does have a very detrimental effect on our own health if we do. Its about time that the Exemption Certs were changed as they are no good to a blind person who can't read what they say - even brail (although not used often) would help as even a blind person who can't read brail would be able to understand that there really is something there! |

The punter couldn't have been that visually impaired if he managed to get the drivers vehicle details.
Anyway, the idiot deserves to be suspended, but license stripped is a bit harsh. |

I used to drive 'blind' people to a blindworkshop in wolverhmapton when i worked for community transport. some of them had better eyesight than me! Being classed as blind nowadays does not neccessarily mean you cann't see
