HEADLINE: Taxi man 'shot at' on m-way
Taxi driver Andrew Dix says he is lucky to be alive after yobs shot at his car. The 38-year-old was driving at 70 mph in the outside lane of the M5 northbound near Tewkesbury when his car windscreen was hit.
Moments before, he saw two youths on a bridge overhead.
The shaken driver said: "It looks like a bullet hole. You hear about yobs throwing stuff all the time, but this is a lot worse, this is life threatening."
He had just joined the motorway at the Coombe Hill junction at 3.30pm.
A police spokesperson said: "We would ask anyone who is involved in this sort of incident to report it to police so it can be investigated and the offenders dealt with appropriately.
"This sort of action is completely irresponsible and could cause a very serious accident."
