A taxi firm owner who assaulted two of his neighbours outside their homes in Llantwit Major has been ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid community work. Andrew Dawson Brown, 45, of Loveluck Court, Llantwit Major, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Shauna Fitzgerald and Robert Harrison on June 15 this year. He also denied damaging a window. He was convicted on all three charges at an earlier hearing and appeared before Barry Magistrates' Court for sentence.
Nia James, prosecuting, told the court the incident was the result of a 'neighbours' dispute.'
Brown denied starting the fight and alleged Ms Fitzgerald had made an offensive comment. Chris Evans, defending, said: 'It is a matter he wishes to put behind him.' Brown was also ordered to pay pounds 42.49 compensation to Vale of Glamorgan council, pounds 50 compensation to Ms Fitzgerald and pounds 200 costs.
