HEADLINE: Cab boss hailed as Tory hopeful
A Taxi manager in Swansea has been chosen as the Conservative candidate for Swansea East at the next Assembly elections.
Bob Dowdle won the nomination after vowing to fight plans to close the neurosurgery unit at Morriston. He also pledged to fight crime and anti-social behaviour by campaigning for more police officers on the beat, as well as appealing for more help for pensioners to meet their council tax bills.
Mr Dowdle said: "I am delighted to have been chosen as the Welsh Conservative candidate in Swansea East at the next Assembly elections."
