Of course I wonder how many Scottish Labour MP's who currently sit in Westminster would be out of their jobs? and wonder what effect this would have upon the majority in the House?

Reminds me of the situation after WW2 when after fighting a war against German expansion, we controlled a quarter of the world mostly without local democracy
Even Churchill was against independence for India

Look at Hong Kong where Britain fought a war against China to force them to import British opium http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Opium_War

How disgraceful Hong Kong never experienced democratic government even though it was occupied until 1997
