sick people And that's one of the reasons there is a shortage of drivers in some areas. I mean how many people are stupid enough to work poxy hours and have to put up with sh** like that? I wish the fella a speedy recovery. |

I think Jade Goodie would deserve it
But that aside, nobody should be expected to put up with that type of cr*p. Now what did that caring councillor from Halifax say?

If they catch them they should be locked up for a long time, but they won't. I noticed that some cabs have driver shields and some don't, perhap's it's time all phv's had them?. |

If it wasn't then Mr Al-Kotob being a private hire driver not only broke the law but he had the misfortune to pick up two very unsavoury characters. Regards JD |

JD I think you will find that he was a 001 driver who have a pick up point in town, so I am very sure that it was a pre booked job. So wonder no more! |

Taxi attacker faces lengthy jail term Comment A man who violently robbed a taxi driver and left him battered and bruised faces a lengthy jail term. Tynan Nelson, of Nunnery Close in Blackbird Leys, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court to robbery. The 20-year-old admitted attacking taxi driver Mohammed Maher Al-Kotob, in Falcon Close, Blackbird Leys, on January 12, stealing cash and a satellite navigation system. Jonathan Stone, prosecuting, told the court Nelson and another man asked the taxi driver to stop in Falcon Close in the early hours of the morning. Nelson grabbed the taxi driver from behind, pinning him to the front seat, while the second man climbed round to the front and punched him repeatedly in the face. Advertisement continued...Mr Al-Kotob handed over a purse containing about £70 and then the second man began kicking him and grabbed the navigation computer. Mr Stone said: "He tried to run off but he was dazed from the blows and fell to the floor. The mixed race man (Nelson) began kicking him in the stomach and held his arm in an arm lock. "The taxi driver got to his feet and was screaming because he was so scared and managed to run to a neighbouring house where they rang for help." Mr Al-Kotob needed four sets of stitches and suffered a broken nose and a swollen face and head. Graham Bennett, defending, said Nelson had previous convictions but none for violence. Judge Anthony King said a substantial amount of time in custody was inevitable'. Nelson was remanded in custody to be sentenced on February 23 |
