Police appeal for information
WREXHAM CID are appealing for information after a taxi driver was stabbed twice in the leg.
The driver needed hospital treatment for the two stab wounds he sustained from a man who was being carried in an Abbey Cars taxi.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 1.55am on Monday, February 19. The taxi driver picked up the man from Northgate Street in Chester. While driving through the Gresford area of Wrexham the offender asked the taxi driver to stop the cab and then stabbed him twice to the leg.
The taxi driver is recovering from the injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
A 34-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further inquires.
Officers investigating are extremely anxious to speak to anyone who may have information regarding the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call DC 1115 Jessop on 01978 294624.
Strange, why would anyone want to stab someone in the leg?

Must be a south of the border thing.
