Would bet Reisling may not get any extra shares but would find a handsome pay increase, pension package etc.

What with not having to ask 'his fellow drivers' permission and beg their support at the annual meeting.

The thing is, every year we read non-stop moaning and groaning over the mutuals leadership, and every year the same mob keep getting voted back in.

Only a fraction ever turn up to vote at the AGMs.
So they get what they deserve.

Claude will correct me if I am wrong but I believe that any DAC driver not attending the AGM gets fined.

My grandmother who dedicated her life to wasting her vote on the Liberals, had a saying,

"no matter who you vote for the government always gets in"

Sorry it is a bit late but my black cab friends on Radio Taxis have decided to take the money.
I've just read my copy of taxi times. http://www.thelondontaxi.co.uk/page12.htm
Maybe I will get a job with them now that want proper PH. If the money is right that is.

So four out of five drivers ignored the T&G 'end of the world is nigh' scaremongering.

Definitely gone up in my estimation.

I personally think this is the most radical event in the trade since PH licensing in London (without doubt the two are linked).

All eyes on DAC now.

This companies have huge customer bases and excellent margins. If they can now just address the issue of what the customer wants they will turn into very major players throughout Britain.

Could well be Tom.

This bloke isn't going to pay millions and have his fleet (black cab & LPH) sitting around.

It's a good move for the drivers, and others will follow.

So does that mean all the good work will now go to LPH, and all the local stuff to the black cab boys?
Still its amazing what a £1000 bribe will do.
Fickle this trade or what.

From talking to Mr Kaley at Telford (my how the world changes, Geof Kaley venturing as far as Telford) he is of course now Boss at XETA, mixed fleet. He seems to believe the major corporates want black cabs in the city for fares under 10 pounds and PH for those over, until you get to 50 pound and they then expect limo/exec car service.

Confirms my view that the money in PH in London is too be made upmarket, not in 'minicabbing'.
