When you apply for an operators licence, and want to put on more cars does your council charge the full operator's fee for every car???, or just a small fee for each one you put on. We are charged the full fee of £169 for each one, even though they are all under one name, and is it legal for the council to do so |

I've never heard of any council allowing discounts such as this, so I doubt if there's much mileage in it for you. Our fee is about the same in Fife, and this covers admin, plates and testing, so even if someone had a fleet it wouldn't save the council any money, so there's no obvious reason why a fleet owner should get a discount. I suppose they may save a bit with the police checks, but not much? |
