I received this e-mail today which speaks for itself. So is it a record? =D>

Alex

Hi

I am emailing you to find out if you know how old the oldest taxi driver is? My father is 90 years old and is currently a taxi driver in Medway, Kent and asked if I knew how to find out if he is the oldest. I didn't have a clue where to start so did a google search and found your website. Apologies if this is something you know nothing about.

thank you

Charlotte

I know our own MrT is old .................... but I don't think he's 90 just yet.

I hope I'm still here when I'm 90.

Never heard of a cabby still working anywhere near that age .................. fair play to him =D> =D> =D> =D>

B. Lucky :D

I say well done to the chap. =D>

Not only through sticking with the job for so long, but for being fit enough to do so.

I wish him well. =D>

I thought the Council would have put a stop to him driving a cab when he got to that age? I'm not knocking him fair play to the chap but I've known plenty who have had to finish when they get to 70 because of the insurance.

If anyone is capable of passing a medical and fullfilling all the licensing requirements then who are we to say they cannot drive a cab? We should mind our own business because we are not judge and jury on whether a man has a right to earn a living.

Regards

JD
