Cab direct are a complete joke when the going gets tough and they get threatened with solicitors about the crappy eurobuses in dundee what do they do send in 4 engineers to fix all the answers to our knightmares thats a joke they never fixed anything stuck a few sponges here a bit of superglue there and they even ran out of materials so out of 25 maybe 26 eurobuses and e7s only about 4 were operated on and that was a joke mine is rattling and squeeking already some peoples floors are ripped seats are coming loose some poor blokes door is hanging off and they don't want to know they told us if you have any complaints approach poeguet and get them to fix it we never got our cabs fae peouet we got them from cab direct and they are heaps of s**t we are all going to get together and pay for a top solicitor to try and fight this and get trading standards involved also watchdog so if any of you guys have any more ideas kicking about out there it will be much apprieciated.

Very surprised at your complaints guest.
I have driven Euro seven,s for a number of years and the only problem
was the sliding doors, although on my new one, this problem has been resolved.
Interior has stood up well to the rigours of the trade and the engine, superb.
Regarding the Euro Bus,I have seen them had a look around them, but do not like to take out seats when wheelchair work is required.
But again you pay your money and take your choice.
If these problems are arising,I think that Cab Direct will rectify them.
No need to jump up and down, elect someone to speak for the people that are having problems, phone Cab Direct tell them who you are,how many owners he is speaking for, note down what all the problems are and ask for the Sales Manager to come through and speak to him.Think this will do the trick,Good Luck,Happy Cabbie.

i agree with the last geust as i have 1 of they new E7s from cab direct and its bloody great. i did have a problem at the start but when i contacted arthur at cab direct he sorted it out for mje.I think if you have a problem you should give him a call and let him sort it out for you. i think you shoulnt waste your money on layers as i ahd a frined who tried this route with another company and all that happens is it takes forever and costs alot.

i've a local service agent that cab direct have given in leeds called stanley ps. who are great.is there not the same set up in dundee? if not id get them to appoint a service agent who could probabley fix the probems that you seem to havr.

good luck with it.

PS and just remenber, whats the alternitive? metro tx1, been there done that, got the costs to show it.

As Sales Director of Cab Direct I am very disappointed to see what has been written about our products. We believe that one of our competitors is behind this entry as we have an excellent name all over the UK and especially in Dundee. We would have thought that if someone genuinely had a problem they would not be against entering their name along with their entry.

If any driver, anywhere in the UK has a problem with any of our products or indeed the service that has been received from Cab Direct, I urge you to contact our office and we will endeavour to sort out any problems that you have.

We can be contacted on freephone 0800 731 7005.

Please ask for Arthur Parker our Customer Relations Manager. If you feel that you are not receiving the help that you require from our Customer Relations department, please feel free to ask to speak to myself and I will be more than happy to help you.

Peter E. Facenna
Sales Director

Thank you for your contribution Peter.

Most members/posters/guests who use taxi/PH forums are well aware that not all we see posted on them is accurate. I for one quite like the E7, but in the past we have had a number of genuine complaints, both on and off the forum, concerning Cab-Directs after-sales.

If you have a spare day or so, then please go to our search section and type in Cab-Direct.

That aside, I'm for anyone that takes on the like of LTI, and their over-priced gas gugling bangers.

Alex

P.S. Any news on London yet?

Excuse me but i was one of the many that was their with my eurobus on wednesday and the engineers said themselves we thought their was only going to be a few of you not over 20 of you they ran out of materials sponges and things so what kind of aftercare is that when their is lack of communication at even that level come on Cab Direct get your act together and fix the many problems in dundee at the moment the company is looking like a joke i don't know why that director says that they are well thought of in dundee when at least 6 teurobus operators went to trading standards on wedensday to get advice and they got some good advice watchdog for the new series was even mentioned raw deal in the sunday post was another avenue so come on cab direct i think the bad publicity you are going to get well you have a lot more to lose than any of us we will let all the new operators know that their IS another company to go with...We are not lying we are telling the truth so don't accuse of us of blatently lying we only want the numerous probs we have fixed sending 4 engineers with only limited supplies then phoning everyone to go and get their cabs fixed then running out of materials come on lets face it its a bit of a joke but we will pursue this with a vengence we are definately no mugs up here in dundee so lets get some good aftersalses and stop us all winging and moaning in dundee come on ARTHUR do something mate and let us redeem our faith in you. :?

Another thing when you do phone up you wait forever for ARTHUR to phone you back he is always busy why if you are boasting a good aftersales team then why are their lots of complaints i wonder if any of the other competitors treat their customers like this i think not.

I agree with the above post i to was there we are not ogres we are decent hard working men that paid a lot of money for our cabs and we only want to know that we can rely on cab direct to listen to our complaints and take us seriously we dont want to have to tell everyone about our bad experiences with you we want to tell them good ones we are not hear to fight you we are hear and using this as a way of comunicatin with you as i have had the experience of arthure never phoning me back aswel this forum gives us a vioce and i thank alex administrator for the chance to get an amicable solution before things go to far which none of us want so can arthure maybe talk to us all on here as he seems very elusive give us the chance to ring your praises instead of telling the truth about yu at this moment

i too have had bad experiences trying to contact arthur or tony and i have contacted watchdog myself ill put there contact adress at the end of this posting, people outside dundee do not know all the facts, the first eurobus appeared only four months ago and since then every owner has had problems, i noticed wear on my floor after just three weeks, cab direct have made a mistake putting these on as taxis (peugeot made them as vans then cab direct got them converted) but it hasnt worked the two seats in the middle are a nightmare punters have to grasp them to get in and they loosen very quickly, i have a feeling that cab direct were testing with us to see what these vehicles were like i dont know any other town that has them also a new model is already out with a much improved floor, im not sure exactly how many eurobuses there is in dundee but because the problems are happening so soon and so frequent this could turn out to be very costly for cab direct as bad news travels very fast ,
after going twenty grand into debt there is no way any op is going to just sit back and put up with this either cab direct rectify the problems properly or it could end up all the cabs being returned with a solicitors letter...

I'm afraid a few do treat you worse, LTI being the daddy. :(

Logical that the middle seats in the Eurobus, would give problems,as they are sitting on the floor and are lower than the back seats.
Knocked this vehicle back, because of this, bad enough sober to sit down, get up,without having a drink in you.
Maybe the new lads that bought these should have stood back, and really thought about this problem, but again, desperate to get their plates and again,do not blame them.
This problem can be resolved, with minimum costing to Cab Direct, fit out the exsisting seats with newer ones that have a longer leg height, this would alleviate the problem.
However when using as a WAV,would the new seats be able to be secured on the back seats.
Just a thought.

I have now left both my name and my phone number on this site for anyone who has a problem to contact me.

No one has been in contact with me.

Obviously we can only help those customers who let us know that they have a problem. I would therefore urge those customers who have a problem to either phone us at Cab Direct or leave their name on the forum and we will contact you.

This morning we have phoned every one of our customers in the Dundee area to ascertain any existing issues that they may have. In the main there are very little problems and the small number of issues that did arise will be dealt with early next week.

We do pride ourselves on the level of after care we provide and you can be rest assured that we are working hard to fix any outstanding issues that there may be.

Come on they have had their chances no one phoned me today i am in a lot of debt with this thing that everyone that get in it moans about the floor is a health hazard when it rains its dangerous when drunks get in or out i keep waiting on a severve accident happening and those middle seats come on admit it cab direct you tataly mucked up with them they actually sit on the floor and they are very loose people don't feel safe in them i suggest like scot taking them out amd doing something totaly different with them it's laughable i too think we were an experiement lets see how they go with all those desperate to get on MUGS in dundee and and now the MUGS have a voice and we are not happy something cab direct failed to forsee something drastic better happen or we all will get together and we will seek this a lot further and drag them through the papers i wonder what the big bosses would say to that come on get you thinking caps on and do something about this.
