Taxi hitmen sentenced to life imprisonment
Two taxi hitmen have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Thanduyise Dladla, a Nongoma Taxi Association member.
The sentence was handed down by the Mtunzini High Court in northern KwaZulu Natal for the murder in January last year. Mfana Zulu and Magaba Nxumalo followed a vehicle in which Dladla was travelling and fired shots at them. Dladla was wounded in the attack and fled into the yard of the Royal Protection Police barracks at Nongoma.
The hitmen followed him by car and tried to run him over. Dladla subsequently collapsed and died.
