Swinton Insurance no longer penalises folk with points on there licence, They say that with all the speed cameras now in operation that 3/4s of the population has an average of 6 points on there licence, and that points do not mean anything any more when it come to policy renewal, and they can no longer burden policy holders, with excess charges.
They also said that most driver are law abiding and that due to the above more are being caught out with with cameras hidden in unfamiliar locations.
