Post subject:  Fife man in charge.
Now that we have my former MP at the helm, I wonder what or who he's going to install in the DOT? New policy on Taxi numbers, or a reversal of current advice? Anti car, or pro?

Being from the Kingdom, he's bound to be better than the last one. :wink:

You should Emigrate, all these taxi plates that are apparantly coming onto the Edinburgh market, that'll set you up for life. :wink:

Half of your kids are up here, taking advantage of the lack of tuition fees.
So are half of your grandparents, taking advantage of the free granny farms

If our kids are enjoying the advantages up there, then they are paying tuition fees, in the same way as your lot down here don't. Image

A1 Residence eligibility
A1.1 General residence conditions
To meet the residence conditions, you must have been ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, the

The relevant date depends on when your course starts. The dates for session 2007-2008 are as follows.
• 1 August 2007 for courses that start between 1 August 2007 and 31 December 2007.
• 1 January 2008 for courses that start between 1 January 2008 and 31 March 2008.
• 1 April 2008 for courses that start between 1 April 2008 and 30 June 2008.
• 1 July 2008 for courses that start between 1 July 2008 and 31 July 2008.

And as for the Granny Farms, I know for a fact that my County Council pays the charges for residents who have moved North to be near their families.

That may be Jimbo but many more have sold up and moved here.
This is so that they don't have to sell their homes to pay for their care.
Can't say I blame them. The system sucks :sad:
