Bit like Old Labour. The People’s Independent Party promises to break the mould of local politics since, written into its constitution is a clause which commits each member to work solely for his or her own constituents—in other words, there will be no party whip telling putative councillors to toe the party line. |

The way that could help out the trade is if they all agree to help out just one particular party, of any colour. That way they will p*** off a few, but the way they are going will p*** off the lot. Oh, and get them hardly any votes.

SEPTEMBER OOOH,by that time friend David will have his 40 saloons and 10 TXs. Bit late,do you not think. Politics and Taxi-Drivers/Operators,should be interesting, oil and water, comes to mind. Stop the two tier system, let there be all WAVS only, and let the place be flooded with cabs and the proper drivers will survive, the rest, well, could become drivers for the new fresh blood in the trade. Get rid of the old and in with the new. Get rid of the old grumps and see the new ones looking after the trades customers, properly. Old new plates, must have new WAVs,to be replaced every five years or less. Smarten up the trade, uniformity all around,no smoking, swearing, picking their noses or arse. Lets go. High Ho Silver,Daves mate. |
