A council chief has defended his work for a taxi company, after it was taken over by a boss linked to gangland family. Steve cardowie deputy leader of edinburgh council insisted his bosses at Festval cars, edinburghs biggest phc firm are legitimate. Four weeks ago it was taken over by Allan gibson director of Network phc. Which has links to mcgovern crime clan. This councilor cardowie is also a member of councils police board and has a phc at festival cars employing 2 drivers.Mr cardowie reply was as far as i no there bonafide business men.people witha criminal record cannot get a taxi permit or license in this city.Believe that or not lol 8) 8)

As Sussex says, anyone can own or run a taxi or PH firm in Scotland. Hopefully that will change in the forthcoming review of the CG(S) Act. Anyone know how it's coming along?
