Yobs attack taxi driver

A Taxi driver was seriously injured when he was kicked in the head by three young men in Weston-super-Mare on Friday.

As the driver was approaching Madam Lane at the junction of Ebdon Road, in Worle, at about 11.30pm, the attackers signalled for him to stop.

As he got out of the car to speak to them, he was pushed to the floor and kicked in the head. He suffered a serious head injury.

Police are keen to speak to a passing motorist who slowed down to see what was happening.

The taxi driver, who is in his 40s, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

He shouldn't have got out of his car.

First thing and the most importent is that after a brain op for a hemerage and pulling though he is now out of hospital and on the road to recovery. The locals have been very supportive and there have been various collections to help him through a difficult time.

What I type now is really just what we have heard can cannot be deemed as 100% but.
There are 3 versions.
1 is that he was flagged and he stopped (although a hack badge holder was driving a private hire) tried to explain to the youths (two 19 year olds and a 16 year old who HAVE been arrested and caught) that he could not take them at which point they kicked his car and he got out.

2 They were stood in the middle of the road and would not move. kicked his car and opened the door and just piled in.

3 basically the same that they were in the road would not move they kicked the car and he got out.

there are a lot of rumours down here going on but you cannot get away from the fact that they should be sent down for a long time. All three of them. They knew what they were doing as one FACT is that they KNEW to rip the head unit out so he COULD NOT call for help.

We are all just pleased that he is on the road to recovery but sad at the same time as the poor bloke after all that will not be able to drive for a min of a year because of having to have a brain op.

I hate to be hard but if you don’t know the dos and don’ts in a confrontation look for advice and instruction from those that do. Your next mistake maybe your last. Making yourself vulnerable to attack is completely stupid and naïve. Your average scum bag would spot the opportunity to kick your head in at 50 paces.

The secret is: don't put yourself in that situation in the first place but be prepared if circumstances get out of control.

“Control is about predicting and anticipating future events and taking the necessary actions for a favourable outcome.”

This quote was written by a famous General – live by it.
