I think petrol/diesel would have to increase by about 50% to justify a 20p a mile increase.

looks like 203020 are plateless (hack ) the 28 days are up and no news from the poster on this site surely means no saloon hacks, todays council meeting only handed out 3 new wavs ,there was no mention of the ops who forgot to renew their plates i heard there was at least ten, the thirty odd quoted by some included private hire plates which have taken wav lisences, all the moaners and groaners seem to have dissapeared from this site not because they are working extra hours but because they now realise that it can work itself out and there was nothing to worry about to start with, this weekend will be a good one with a blues festival on all weekend(music not a porny) any op doing three twelve hour shifts will clear 600 roughly, if you have a driver you may clear 240 if your lucky,
its a big difference and its also the reason a lot of hacks are claiming to be struggling....

So in short Scot, the world didn't end following the lifting of quotas in Dundee?

tell him cris he already knows mind you he may be suspicious about all those with with three drivers ( i have one part time) plus double my mileage go on i dare you,i know you wont, meanwhile it seems 203020 are being put off till feb regarding plates which raises a couple of questions, what happened to the tx2,s promised in a publisised interview with davie young, plus why is he fighting for saloon plates which deprive disabled people of a vehicle ?finallly why have i still not been accepted for taxicards? there is a fighting fund asking only 20 pounds in all offices
anyone thinking of a future in taxi, ing should consider whats going on at the moment then weigh the options, the next council meeting is sept plus they have agreed to to talk to the dta (first time since the shock survey)
i just hope the dta dont blow it, meanwhile there is a lot of gossip about a certain councillor, this guy walks down a street then is confronted by an individual (male) who offers a shag for a tenner, so what happens next ?
guess
the councillor decides to follow the individual down an alleyway only to be robbed by acclompices, when he gives a statement to police he says he heard screams and ran to give assistence, he then changed his story to say he only went with the male to give him a good talking too, then he trired to drop all charcges , the local press have picked up on this, its a pity the taxi fraternty have got to watch what they say (councilors stick together as you know) as there may be some other info released ,ive been trying to find the headline news in the tele but its taking too long any dundonians help?the headline which was also headlines on teletext tv
quoted councilor robbed i n broad daylight in city centre, no mention of he was a bum bandit looking for a ride at a ten pound a shag junkie, even the pensioners in his area have been writing letters regarding his conduct if only they knew the full story, ive nothing against gays i regulary try to bed lesbians, but councillors are t***s and this cxxt is trying to take the pxxs , its a pity the sun didnt pick up the story first....

so how much did your driver hand over ? it was a quiet weekend ,too many cars , all the six seaters are taking the work, do the weekend yourself mate just once three twelve hour shifts , you will be surprised, i have a weekend driver but he was off last weekend ,and i know what i earned (friday was actually quiet for the first half) i also know what id earn if i wasnt taxi, ing, the problem is factory workers are also waking up and thanks to 203020 they now have a chance to turn things around, drive for us for six months then move on for two then get your own cab, its an endles story, the only positive thing is all those totally reliant on drivers are in the sxxt...

Scott, taxi cards will be made avaliable in the next couple of months for,all
Wavs.
Wheelchair customers, who cannot transfer, will be given the old type
Taxi voucher book.(The whole 250 customers).
This will help the Wavs with 1.5 customer per cab,but joking aside, will give
the customer the option of going to a rank for a Wav,instead of pre booking.
Regarding the pink/pig postings, there is scope to earn good money and if
people want to do 12 hour stints so be it,every one has a choice to earn good money, but the new guys coming in,must realise you do have to work hard,to reap the benefits.
There will however people who will always want to be drivers only, and are happy to do this.
These drivers can still earn good money in this day and age, with no hassle.
Four and one deal will still earn the grafters over the £300 p/w.

Regarding 203020,something strange here, they are on a no win situation,
but Mr D,must have something up his sleeve, survived this long,do not know how,and can still see him surviving.

Good Luck,
Badger Boab,
