as the title says, p/h have succeeded in their tendered bid to gain the control of the now privately owned Leeds and Bradford airport. A mighty balls up from the Hackney side of the trade in Leeds, another nail in the coffin for hackneys in Leeds due to the fact that the major think tanks for them are dinosaurs with no get up and go, infact for them it has got up and gone, THANKS LEEDS ATA FOR NOTHING, YOU PLANKS #-o #-o ](*,) ](*,)

You most probably are right, but from my limited experience of airport tenders, it's the ones that give the most money to the airport operator that succeed in getting the permit.

And in a fair fight, the PH trade will always undercut, or out-bid the taxi side. :-$

New airport taxi operator

Horsforth taxi company Arrow Private Hire has been announced as preferred bidder to operate the taxi concession at Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA).

Arrow will take on the role from January 1 next year. Cath Mason, finance and commercial director of LBIA, said: "In announcing Arrow Private Hire as preferred bidder we will be seeking their commitment to ensuring that our passengers receive a high standard of customer service delivered through a significant investment in the fleet of vehicles and drivers that will be based at the airport."

David Richmond, of Arrow Private Hire, said, " We are determined to support the growth of Leeds Bradford Airport by providing customers with the most professional and efficient taxi service operating at any UK airport."

So does this mean that a PH firm are willing to work with a large corporate customer 8) and that HC just think it's their right to have the work :?

It looks like Leeds has gone the same way as every other airport outside London, The Firm who is gonna give the airport the biggest bucks is in, regardless of whether they are PH/HC or green motorised hover craft.

The lads from Leeds who got the wooden spoon should start to get organised for the next time the tender comes round.

Regards
BB

My tender for the job using my fleet of green motorised hover craft didn't win then.
