i spoke to a PH driver today who is on the list to get a plate, he intends to lease hire a TX4, work 4 days a week and put a driver on to help pay his £500 quid a week new TX4, after 3 years he is going to sell the plate to cover his retirement

no Survey has been done since 2004, no unmet demand, 2006 survey was deemed an error, correct me if i'm wrong, are they [the Council] leaving themselves wide open to a challenge

he thinks there is gold in them damm darn hills out there, he is going to get a shock when he comes into the real taxi world

I hope they follow the DFT and OFT recommendations and derestrict all together,
The best thing that the council could do is recall all the plates and re issue
at one each to every person on the list, this would feck the plate barons then the drivers could buy new or second hand cabs and keep there hard earned for themselves, and if they cannot afford to get there own they could drive for someone at reduced rent

Have you any idea how many extra cab will get licensed?

Can't believe the repayments on a TX4 is £2,000 a month. :?
