Taxi drivers in illegal pick-ups
Two private hire taxi drivers have been fined £200 each for breaches of their licences.
Zaheer Ali and Raja Khan, both of Western Boulevard, Aspley, pleaded guilty to plying for trade without a licence at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
Both men picked up police without a booking during an undercover operation in July.
The officers flagged down the taxis outside city centre bar, Coco Lounge, in George Street, then asked to be taken to Rise Park before revealing their identities.
Only the green London-style Hackney Carriages can be hailed on the street, the law says. The pair must also pay £100 costs.
