I don't suppose many people on here have heard of the Petersfield Post but you have now. lol _________________ Petersfield Post November 28, 2007 Taxis paid for by taxes Top executives at a government organisation which provides grants and support for the development of East Hampshire have spent almost £70,000 of taxpayers' money on taxis and hire cars in a single year. South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) chairman James Brathwaite, who is only contracted to work three days a week, spent £51,489 on taxis and cars - more than his eight counterparts in all the other regional development agencies combined. Chief executive Pam Alexander ran up a further £18,000 in taxi fares. Documents released under the Freedom of Information Act uncovered how SEEDA and the other regional development agencies spend their money. Andrew Hillier, communications director for SEEDA, said: "There are mitigating factors. "If, like he (Mr Brathwaite) was the other week, in a meeting in Milton Keynes and you needed to be in Worthing later that day for another meeting, you have no option really." _______________________ |

I had a job many moons ago to take a package from one hospital to another. Nosey bugger am I, I had a peep to see what was in this vital urgent package, and low and behold it was a box of biscuits.
