Taxi stolen from outside pub during pick-up

A taxi was stolen from outside a Maidstone pub on Christmas Day.

The driver had left the keys in the ignition when he went into the Kingsley
Arms in Brunswick Street at 12.30am to collect a fare.

When he came out, the vehicle was gone.

Police said the radio in the white eight-seater Mercedes Benz Vito was still
live and receiving.

The owners will give a reward to get it back in its original condition.

The taxi is worth in the region of £18,000 and is liveried with the company
logo ‘MPH’ and has a registration number of KG06 KVL.

How many times has this happened over the years !!!!!

I hink all drivers need to go on a one day training course before starting work taxiing to teach them some common sense
